Earlier in the day, police said five people, including a passerby, were killed when armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire at a shop on the Jacobabad Road in Sindh’s Ratodero. Police further said the incident was linked to an old dispute within the Ghangro tribe.
The chief minister directed the IGP to ensure that those involved in the killings were brought to justice and ordered immediate measures to uphold peace in the area. CM Shah said the loss of human lives in tribal disputes was “highly regrettable” and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.

Following the order of the chief minister, IGP Odho asked Larkana DIG Sheeraz Nazeer to report back on the mass murders. his office, IGP Odho directed that the suspects be arrested without delay and that all available resources be utilised to apprehend them.

He also directed that law and order in the area be maintained at all costs and that effective measures be taken to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar also took serious notice of the Ratodero firing incident and sought an immediate and detailed report from the DIG Larkana regarding the incident.
The incident. On Saturday morning, gunmen on a motorcycle killed five people in Madeji Kacha area of Ratodero and fled the scene undeterred. Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the area and shifted the bodies to a hospital., the deceased were identified as Rajab, Bilawal, Riaz, Qurban Ghanghro and a passerby, Abdullah Brohi.
Police also cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest those involved in the mass murder, claiming that the suspects had been identified. by Larkana Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Azhar Khan Mughal, the incident occurred due to an old feud within the Ghangro tribe.
“The enmity between two groups of Ghangro tribe is long-standing, spanning over 5-7 years. During this period, more than 16 persons from both sides have lost their lives in different incidents of murder and counter-murders,” it stated, adding that the feud was ongoing and both sides were harbouring criminals., five persons were nominated as accused in the latest firing incident.
The four suspects were identified as Ehsan Ghangro, Bachu Korai, Yaseen Dahani, and Safiullah Dahani, while another unidentified person was also nominated as a suspect. He further said the suspects were taking shelter in hideouts located in the Kacha area, suspecting that they were shielded by the dens of Long Jatoi and Hafeez Kalhoro.
Highlighting police action taken in the case, SSP Mughal said, Larkana police was put on high alert to “prevent any spillover or retaliatory action in Keti of Larkana”. He further revealed that the district police, alongside Shikarpur police, have kicked off an operation in Madeji Kacha to apprehend the nominated suspects in the mass murder case.
