Initial reports suggest that the couple had contracted a court marriage approximately seven years ago. Aslam belonged to Rondu, while Hania was reportedly from Parachinar. Police are investigating the incident from multiple angles, including the possibility of an honour killing.
Meanwhile, the deceased man's family has accused relatives of the woman's family of involvement in the murders. However, officials said the actual motive and those responsible would only be determined after the investigation is completed.
Following the incident, police established security checkpoints at the entry and exit points of the city and launched an investigation. Evidence is being collected from the crime scene as authorities work to identify and arrest the suspects.
