Appearing before the commission, Dr Samia said she was warned that she would be treated leniently if she wrote that she had committed suicide. She also alleged that a public campaign was being run against her.
Dr Samia said she had put her career at stake for the case and described Mir Raza's case as a test case for her. She said she was more concerned about the safety of her family than her own.
More to read: Sindh home minister apologises to Mir Raza commission over interference. She further informed the commission that she had filed a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency over the threats. Commission members asked Dr Samia whether she required security.

She initially said she needed police protection. Commission head Justice Umar Sial said he could direct the authorities to provide Rangers security. However, Dr Samia later reiterated that she did not require security.
