    The approved projects include the construction of 45 kilometres of roads in Chitral and 19 kilometres in Tehsil Bara, while development projects worth Rs9 billion have been approved for Torghar district. The PDWP meeting was held on the special directives of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to improve connectivity across the province and promote better travel facilities.

    Several important projects, including road schemes, were approved at the meeting. Administrative secretaries of the relevant departments, the Chief Economist and representatives of various sections attended the meeting. Under the approved projects, a 45-kilometre road from Shughar to Shah Saleem in Chitral district will be constructed.

    Approval was also granted for widening the 20-kilometre road from Battai to Khalil Top in Buner district. In Khyber district's Bara Tehsil, an 11-kilometre road from Shangar Markaz to Dars Mosque via Sandpal and an 8-kilometre road from Ahmadi to Donga will be constructed.

    A project for the feasibility study, design and construction of a road from the Makhniyal-Islamabad boundary to Changla Gali via Dukhan Pulsar in Abbottabad district was also approved. The project is aimed at making access to tourist destinations easier and safer.

    On the special directives of the Chief Minister, a special development package worth more than Rs9 billion was approved for the development and prosperity of Torghar district. The meeting approved 14 projects covering various sectors, including roads, sports, forestry, the Board of Revenue and multisectoral development.

    The approved projects include the Billion Tree Afforestation Support Project; a feasibility study for the Umarzai Bypass Road in Charsadda district; construction of the 45-kilometre Shughar–Shah Saleem road in Chitral; widening, improvement and blacktopping of the 20-kilometre Battai–Khalil Top road in Buner; construction of an 11-kilometre road from Shangar Markaz to Dars Mosque via Sandpal in the Tira Sub-Division of Bara Tehsil, Khyber district; and construction of an 8-kilometre road from Ahmadi to Donga in the same area.

    Other approved schemes include the feasibility study, design and construction of the Makhniyal-Islamabad boundary–Changla Gali road via Dukhan Pulsar in Abbottabad; establishment of a sports stadium in Upper Chitral; organisation of sports competitions in the merged districts; construction and upgrading of sports grounds and rehabilitation of existing sports facilities; the second phase of the Special Development Package for Torghar; establishment of an Urban Policy Unit; the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Public Resource for Inclusive Development (K-P-PRID) Multi-Phase Programmatic Approach; and centralisation of the Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS).
