    The attacks, carried out by Yemen’s Houthi group Ansar Allah, targeted areas including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan. Women and children were among those wounded in the strikes.

    In a post on social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif described the attacks as cowardly and dastardly, saying such actions posed a direct threat to innocent lives as well as regional peace and security.

    I condemn in the strongest terms, the cowardly attack by Houthis targeting civilian and energy facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which have left many people injured.

    The reported injuries included women and children, adding to the impact of the strikes on populated areas. Shehbaz Sharif said attacks of this nature threatened not only the safety of innocent people but also regional peace and security.

    He reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the Saudi people, describing them as a brotherly nation, while reaffirming Islamabad’s continued support for the Kingdom in protecting its sovereignty and security. The prime minister also offered prayers for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attacks.
