The Ministry of Information has confirmed the development, stating that the strikes targeted hideouts of militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition at the sites was also destroyed, the ministry said.
The ministry said the operation was carried out with a high degree of precision based on confirmed intelligence. It added that maximum precautions were taken to protect civilians and prevent civilian casualties. The strikes were conducted as part of Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, with Pakistan continuing operations against terrorist hideouts and safe havens in Afghanistan.
The ministry said Pakistan faces a terrorism threat from Afghanistan and expressed concern over the country continuing to serve as a centre for terrorism. It said the safety and security of Pakistani citizens remained the government's top priority, adding that Pakistan had continued efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

The ministry further said operations by security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue under the vision of Stability and Resilience. It added that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq would continue until terrorism allegedly supported by foreign elements is eliminated.
