The incident took place early on Friday, leaving the neighbourhood in a state of shock and grief. Police rushed to the scene after receiving information and shifted the bodies of the two children and the critically injured woman to a hospital.
Medical staff confirmed the children's deaths while providing emergency treatment to the mother for her self-inflicted throat wounds. After necessary formalities, the bodies were handed over to the heirs for burial. Police said Sakina had been married for four years.
