Ali Azmat reveals his surprisingly minimal 'no-chemical' personal care routine

“Rockstar Ali Azmat has given fans an unexpected glimpse into his personal-care habits, revealing a remarkably minimalist routine that includes soap and toothpaste — but not a toothbrush. Appearing on T…”
Appearing on Tabish Hashmi’s. Hasna Mana Hai, Azmat said his bathroom contains very few personal-care products. “In my bathroom, I just have soap and a toothpaste,” he said.
His routine became even more surprising when he revealed that he does not use a toothbrush. “Not even a toothbrush, I use my finger,” he added.
Azmat explained that his approach comes from his personal aversion to what he describes as “chemicals”, a philosophy he said has become more difficult to maintain as his daughters have grown older and developed an interest in beauty and skincare products.

“I personally am against chemicals,” he said, adding, “For me it is a big exam that my daughters, who are now growing up and are 13-14 years old, they are obsessed with products and wanting certain creams.”View this post on Instagram.
He also recalled a shopping trip in Canada, where he joked that his daughters and their mother persuaded him to spend a significant amount on personal-care products. “When I was in Canada they and their mom made me get 1000-2000 money worth of chemicals,” he said.
Azmat’s comments appeared to be less a prescribed routine than a reflection of his personal philosophy: keep things simple, avoid unnecessary products and, where possible, stay away from ingredients he is uncomfortable using. The conversation also taps into the growing contrast between increasingly elaborate beauty routines and the minimalist approach favoured by some public figures.
At a time when bathroom shelves can be packed with cleansers, serums, moisturisers and specialised treatments, Azmat appears content with considerably less.
