Trading activity also remained significant during the week, with around 3.8 billion shares changing hands in transactions valued at Rs166 billion.

    The market’s total capitalisation declined by Rs256 billion over the week, falling to Rs19,629 billion. The weekly performance reflected continued pressure on the stock market, with the benchmark index ending the week considerably below its opening levels.
