A post featuring a black-and-white image of Chan alongside the dates “1954-2026” falsely suggested that the 72-year-old actor had died. The death hoax appears to have been fuelled by the circulation of the memorial-style image, which included Chan’s name and the alleged dates of his birth and death. Th widely shared post received millions of views in les than a day.
Recent public activity also contradicts the claims. According to. The Straits Times, Chan visited Pei Chun Public School in Singapore in July as part of an event organised by the Lim Family Foundation.

He reportedly interacted with more than 900 students and staff during the visit. Videos from the appearance showed Chan singing “Hard to Say Goodbye” and speaking with students. The actor remains active in the entertainment industry despite the latest unverified claims about his death.
